Obituary of Michael Kllc
LITTLE FALLS Michael Kllc, 98 after a long full life, completed his earthly journey and joined his wife entering eternal rest on Sunday, March 20, 2011. He was a life long resident of Little Falls and a resident of the Alpine Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Little Falls since August of 2010.
Michael Kllc was born on September 3, 1912 in Little Falls. He was the son of Michael and Anna (Sadlon) Kllc. He graduated from Little Falls High School in 1931. He married Elizabeth (Betty Duga) Kllc on July 8, 1939 at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Falls.
Mr. Kllc was a talented woodworker and made many beautiful things for his friends and family. His dollhouses, furniture, birdhouses and other items are enjoyed by many. He always loved a good joke or story and enjoyed people and life. He was a good neighbor and was always helping out "the old People". He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, neighbors and his church family. He was a man of quick mind who enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, challenging number and word games. He played golf in his younger days and was an excellent bowler. The METS, "Cuse" Basketball and football, and the NBA were all favorites when he took the time to sit down and relax.
As a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church he served for many years on the church council. Over the years he was a member of the former Little Falls Masonic Lodge # 181, F&AM, the Ziyara Temple of the Shrine, AAONMS, Utica and the Little Falls Elks Lodge # 42, B.P.O.E.
He was employed as a Forman for the former Allegro Shoe Corp., Little Falls retiring in 1973.
He is survived by his son Michael T. Kllc and daughter in law Adrienne of Rochester, NY, and his daughter Betty A. (Kllc) OBrien and son in law Richard, Owego, NY, grandchildren; Kimberly Kllc DiPietro and her husband Anthony, Rochester, NY, Aaron Kllc, San Francisco, CA, Rebecca OBrien and her husband Mark Scudder, Owego, NY, great grandchildren; Anthony Noel and Annabelle DiPietro, Rochester, NY, a cousin Suzanne K. Racky, Rochester, NY, a sister in law Elizabeth Duga Odin, Sauquoit, NY and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 70 years Betty on June 29, 2009 and by his brother John Kellc.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 10:00 am from the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 512 E. Gansevoort St., Little Falls. Interment will take place later in the spring at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Little Falls.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 from 4-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Thursday morning.
It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mr. Kllc be considered to the Holy trinity Lutheran Church, 512 E. Gansevoort St., Little Falls, NY 13365 or to the Little Falls Hospital, 140 Burwell St., Little Falls, NY 13365. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
