Obituary of Mildred Dudik

MOHAWK Mildred Dudik, 93 of 62 E. Main Street, Mohawk, NY the (Mohawk Homestead) passed away on Friday, August 3, 2012 at Valley Health Service, Herkimer where she had been a resident since February of 2012. She was born on March 25, 1919 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Ulerich) Dudik. She was educated in Little Falls schools. Miss. Dudik relocated to Rochester, NY and was employed during World War II by the IBM Co.. In 1947 she went to work for the Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester, NY as a secretary in the Engineering Dept. retiring after 34 years of service to that company. She continued to reside in Rochester until 2002 when she returned to the Mohawk Valley to be closer to family. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Falls. While in Rochester she was a member of the Kodak Bowling Team for many years. An avid knitter and reader who loved watching spectator sports of all kinds. Her favorite team was the NY Yankees. She spent a lot of her retirement years babysitting for special family members. She is survived by her sisters Mary Talaba, Little Falls and Dorothy Fredericks, Myrtle Beach, SC, her brother John Dudik and his wife LaVerne, Dolgeville and several nieces and nephews. Also several grand nieces and grand nephews including her two special ones, Nick Ferraro and Doug Ferraro and several great grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Michael Dudik, 1991 and Samuel Dudik, 2008, her sisters Margaret Dudik, 1933, Susan Sadlon, 1973, Katherine Frank, 1991, Anna Dudik, 1992, Elizabeth Ashe, 2010 and Christine Costello, 2010. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Little Falls. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. There will be no calling hours.
