Vera A. Mosher
LITTLE FALLS - Vera A. Mosher, 80 of 550 E. John St., Apt. 3-G, Little Falls passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 26, 2006 at her residence.
She was born on June 20, 1925 in the town of Herkimer. The daughter of the late Fred and Naomi (Rathbun) Herringshaw. She was educated in Little Falls schools.
She was united in marriage to her husband of 42 years Richard L. Mosher at the home of the brides parents. Mr. Mosher predeceased her on February 11, 1987.
She was a very active member of the Auskerada, McCoy & Rock City Chapter # 204 Order of the Eastern Star where she served as Matron at eight different times. She was also past grand representative to North Dakota for 2000-2001, a member of the Mohawk Valley Square Dancing Group, Mohegan Round Dancers and a former Brownie Troop leader.
Mrs. Mosher was employed at onetime by the former Little Frock's Dress Co,, Little Falls and the former Allegro Shoe Corp., Little Falls. She was last employed as an attendant for the Valley Laundromat, Little Falls.
She is survived by her son Richard L. Mosher and his wife Nilene, Columbia, Maryland, 3 daughters Gail Wood and her husband Daniel, Arksville, NY, Deborah Heath and her husband Terry, Rochester and Myra Fredericks and her husband Allen, Little Falls. 13 grandchildren, Geoffrey Mosher and his wife Jennifer, Bradley Mosher and Jennifer Mosher, Erica Aleto and her husband Joseph, George McNeily, Darryl Congdon, William Markwardt, Raymond Palmeter, Brian Heath and his wife Michelle, Kevin Heath and his wife Dianne, Sarah Fredericks, Katie Frasier and her husband Luke, Christopher Fredericks and Gregory Fredericks, 7 great grandchildren Jacob, Laura, Amanda and Mallory Heath, Bryce Aleto, Natalie Fredericks and Ava Frasier, a sister in law Kathryn Herringshaw, Little Falls and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 brothers William Herringshaw, who died in November of 2002 and Frederick V. Herringshaw, who died on July 7, 2003.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at 10:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. James Paulson, Pastor of the Christ Lutheran Church, Little Falls officiating. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills in the spring.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Wednesday morning.
It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Mosher be considered to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
The family would like to thank Virginia Mead, Shirley Schuyler and Betty Foster for their kindness, compassion and friendship shown to their mother and grandmother.
Members of the Auskerada, McCoy & Rock City Chapter # 204 O.E.S. will call in a body at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at 6:30 pm to conduct their ritualistic serves.
