Obituary of Jane E. Murray
LITTLE FALLS - Jane E. Murray, 86 of 800 E. Main Street, Little Falls passed away Friday, June 2, 2006 at Little Falls Hospital.
She was born on March 20, 1920 in Little Falls the daughter of the late William and Louise (Cummings) Murray. She was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy, Little Falls as well as a graduate of St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing, Amsterdam.
Miss. Murray was a veteran of World War II serving with the US Army Nurse Corps. She entered the service on March 15, 1945. She was assigned to the 4th General Hospital. She was honorably discharged on July 12, 1946 as a Second Lieutenant at Ft. Dix, NJ.
She was a member of the Holy Family Parish of Little Falls. She was an avid card player and enjoyed playing with her dear friends of her card group Doris Burns and Dr. Mary Irving.
Miss. Murray was employed for over 40 years as a Registered Nurse at Little Falls Hospital.
She is survived by her sister Adelaide Skaskiw and her husband Bernard, Delmar, her niece Karin Boepple and her husband Robert, Little Falls and many other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 19, 2006 at 11:00 am from the Holy Family Parish Church, Cor. Main & John St's, Little Falls where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Ligato. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer.
