Obituary of Nancy J. Evans

ROME - Nancy J. Evans, 70 formerly of the Little Falls - Dolgeville area passed away Saturday, February 3, 2007 at the Betsy Ross Nursing Facility, Rome where she had been a resident since 2004. She was born on March 29, 1936 in Syracuse the daughter of the Helen (Torrey) Evans of Bristol, TN and the late Harry C. Evans. She was a graduate of the Rome State School for the Deaf. She is survived by her mother Helen, Bristol, TN, 2 sons Richard M. Evans and his wife Crystal, Rome and John Evans, Utica, a brother James E. Evans, Bristol, TN, 2 granddaughters Monica Schober and Katie Evans, both of Rome and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Paticia J. Cagwin, who died on August 2, 1983 and a brother Harry C. Evans, III, who died on October 12, 1997. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at 11:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Gertrude Ortlieb, Pastor of the Inghams Mills Baptist Church officiating. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills in the spring. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 from 10-11 am and to attend the funeral services to follow.
