Obituary of Norman D. Craig

LARGO, FL - Norman D. Craig, 68 of 11201 N. 122nd Ave., Largo, FL formerly of Little Falls passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 1, 2004 at Little Falls Hospital after being stricken at the home of his son Michael McKeon of Little Falls where he and his wife Guila have been staying for the past several weeks while visiting family and friends in Little Falls. He was born on July 17, 1935 in Chicopee, MA the son of the late Norman and Stella (Twarog) Craig. He was a graduate of the Cathedral High School, Chicopee, MA as well as a graduate of Mohawk Valley Community College, Utica class of 1990 where he graduated with a degree in Engineering. He was first united in marriage to the former Mary (Murray) McKeon. He was again united in marriage to the former Guila Palmater Weckesser on December 14, 1994 in Largo, FL. He was of the Catholic Faith. He was a member of the Little Falls Elk's Lodge # 42 B.P.O.E., the Little Falls Rotary Club, Little Falls German Mannechor and the Little Falls Polish Community Home. An avid card player who enjoyed playing at the various club's including the DeCarlo - Staffo Post, Little Falls. Mr. Craig was employed as a Supervisor for the former MDS Corp, Herkimer for 23 years. He is survived by his wife Guila, 2 sons Mark McKeon, Boston, MA and Michael McKeon, Little Falls, 4 daughters Kathleen McKeon, Mary McKeon, Janice McKeon and her fiancé© Ronald Sekel and Anne McKeon all of Little Falls, 2 step sons Alfred Weckesser, Largo, FL and Henry Weckesser, Little Falls, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a special friend Bruce Grainer, Little Falls. He was predeceased by a sister Phyllis Lorraine, who died in 1984. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2004 at 11:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. In keeping with Mr. Craig's wishes cremation will follow. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Saturday, July 3, 2004 from 9-11 am and to attend the funeral services to follow. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mr. Craig be considered to the Cathedral High School, 26 Surrey Rd. Springfield, MA 01118 or to Bassett Healthcare Center, 1 Atwell Rd., Cooperstown, NY 13326. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
