Obituary of - Opal (Gallogly) Brado

ILION- Opal (Gallogly) Brado, 84, formerly of 174 Rural Park Drive, Little Falls passed away on Friday December 28, 2012 at the home of her grandson George F. Brado, 70 Lester Ave., Ilion where she has resided for the past two months. She was born on May 26, 1928, in West Virginia and where she attended rural schools. Mrs. Brado was of the Methodist faith. She was united in marriage to her husband of 34 years George H. Brado on May 20, 1950 at the First Presbyterian Church, Little Falls, by Rev. J. Harold Thompson. Mr. Brado predeceased her February 6, 1984. For many years she was employed as a bank courier for Herkimer County Trust Bank and for several years sold Avon products. She is survived by a son Duane Brado, Little Falls, a granddaughter Brandy Burgess and her husband Glenn, Peachland, NC, 2 grandsons George F. Brado and his wife Bonnie, Ilion and Duane "DJ" Brado, Mohawk, 8 great grandchildren Daniel, Tyler, Andrew, Jenna, Dylan, Leland Brado, Ashley and Alissa Burgess and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 7 other brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in the spring at Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills with Pastor Eugene Kipper officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 North Ann Street, Little Falls on Wednesday, January 2, 2012 from 3-5 pm.
