John J. Palkowski LITTLE FALLS - John J. Palkowski, 88 formerly of 759 E. Monroe St., Ext. (Falls Courts), Little Falls and since February of 2005 a resident of the Country Manor, Herkimer passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at Little Falls Hospital. He was born on December 3, 1917 in Little Falls the son of the late John and Marya (Koralewicz) Palkowski. He was a graduate of Little Falls High School Class of 1935. He was united in marriage to his wife of 44 years the former Lola M. Cross on February 7, 1942 in Tribes Hill, NY. Mrs. Palkowski predeceased him on March 3, 1986. He was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls. As well as a long time member of the Little Falls Masonic Lodge # 181 F&AM and more recent a member Dolgeville Masonic Lodge # 796, F&AM. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed golfing and reading. He and his wife Lola were well known in Little Falls for their Dachshund dogs they had over the years, especially their last dog Schatzie. Mr. Palkowski was employed for 38 years by the former UNIVAC Corp., Utica retiring as a foreman. He is survived by his daughter Mary Ann Morse and her husband Robert, Oneonta, 5 grandsons John Senk, Steven Senk, George Snyder, Donald Snyder and Richard Schmitt, 10 great grandchildren, 2 nieces Joanna Macri and Lucy Helmer and their families all of Little Falls. He was predeceased by a brother William F. Palkowski, who died on August 15, 1988. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 11:00 am from the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 588 Albany Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Dr. Steven A. Scarcia, Rector officiating. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills later in the spring. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls on Friday, March 31, 2006 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Saturday morning. Members of the Dolgeville Masonic Lodge # 796 F&AM will call in a body at the funeral home on Friday evening at 6:30 pm to conduct their ritualistic services.
