Obituary of Paul W. Cizik, Sr

LITTLE FALLS - Paul W. Cizik, Sr., 59 of 54 Woodside Ave., Little Falls passed away Monday, December 20, 2004 at Little Falls Hospital after being stricken at home. He was born on November 17, 1945 in Little Falls the son of the late John and Anna (Rapant) Cizik. He was a graduate of Little Falls High School. He was united in marriage to his wife of 35 years the former Veronica Schwiler on January 14, 1967 at St. Mary's Church, Little Falls. Mrs. Cizik predeceased him on March 9, 2002. Mr. Cizik was a veteran of the US Army. Entering the service on January 31, 1967 he served at Fort Lewis, Washington. He was honorably discharged for the US Army Reserve as a Sergeant on January 1, 1972. He was an active member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Falls.. Serving as a Deacon and member of the Finance Committee, he also taught confirmation classes. Mr. Cizik was employed for over 30 years by the former Cherry - Burrell Corp., Little Falls and later for Feldmeier Equipment Co., Little Falls as an estimator. He retired in August of 2004 due to ill health. He is survived by a son Paul W. Cizik, Jr. and Nancy Glanovski, Phoenix, AZ, 2 daughters Jennifer L. Vines, Glendale, AZ and Melissa A. Rathbun and her husband Justin, Peoria, AZ, 2 brothers in law Eugene Schwiler and Bernard J. Schwiler and his wife Helen, both of Little Falls, 3 grandchildren Spencer & Jackson Vines and Tayler Rathbun both of Arizona and a niece Megan Schwiler, Little Falls. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at 10:00 am from the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 512 E. Gansevoort Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Carl Evans Pastor officiating. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls on Monday, December 27, 2004 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Tuesday morning.
