Obituary of Pearl H. Pribis

LITTLE FALLS - Pearl H. Pribis, 87 formerly of 103 Circle Drive (Homestead Trl. Pk.), Little Falls and more recent of the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home, Ilion passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2004 at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital, New Hartford. She was born on August 16, 1916 in Kingston, NY the daughter of the late Lemuel and Josephine (Winne) Howard. She was a graduate of Kingston High School. She was united in marriage to her husband 52 years John Pribis on March 24, 1940 in Kingston. Mr. Pribis predeceased her on August 19, 1992. Mrs. Pribis was a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Mohawk Homestead, Mohawk as well a in private duty. She is survived by her 2 daughters Mary Ann Aloisio and her husband Francis, Little Falls and Linda Duspiva and her husband Walter, Kingston, a sister Geraldine Howard, Kingston, 2 grandchildren Linda Fake and her husband Edward, Dolgeville and Laura Rogers and her husband Scott, Rensselaer, NY, 2 great grandchildren Jacqueline and Karlton Fake, Dolgeville and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 6 brothers James, Daniel, I, Lemuel, Paul, Russell and Daniel, II Howard and by 6 sisters Elizabeth Swift, Ruth Best, Priscilla Bilyou, Evelyn Larson, Nellie Ondrey and Mary J. Howard. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2004 at 11:00 am at the Hurley Cemetery, Hurley, NY with the Rev. Mary Winchell officiating.. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. There are no calling hours. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Pribis be considered to the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home Foundation, 99 Sixth Ave, Ilion, NY 13357. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
