Obituary of Phyllis Jackson
LITTLE FALLS - Phyllis Jackson, 81 formerly of Salisbury St., Little Falls and more recent a resident of the Alpine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Little Falls passed away Monday, January 16, 2012 at that residence.
She was born on March 15, 1930 in Abington, PA the daughter of the later James E. and Charlotte (Yourdon) Jackson. She was a graduate of Linden Hall High School and Elmira State College.
Miss. Jackson was a very active member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls having served as a Lector for many years.
She was employed as a high school teacher of various subjects by the Highland Falls, NY high school. Following her retirement and relocation to Little Falls she taught nursery school for the WCA, Little Falls for several years.
She is survived by her sister in law Mary Grace Jackson, East Lansing, MI, nephews James Jackson, Michigan, Ken Jackson, Maryland, Tom Jackson (Tana) and Ron Jackson, both of Virginia and four grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Louis E. Jackson on November 20, 2004.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Church Street Cemetery, Little Falls.
