Obituary of Kenneth S. Ralston
SALISBURY - Kenneth S. Ralston, 30 of 123 Jerseyfield Road, Little Falls (Town of Salisbury) passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 17, 2005 in the Town of Litchfield from injuries sustained in a logging accident.
He was born on May 8, 1975 in Herkimer the son of Betty Lou (Currie) Ives of Salisbury and the late Mike E. Ralston.
He was educated in Little Falls and Dolgeville schools and attend Herkimer County Community College.
He was a member of the Curtiss Corners Stone Chapel, Salisbury. As well as a member of the Salisbury Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club. He was a Ford pick up truck enthusiast and enjoyed repairing and driving them as well as spending time on his snowmobile and 4 wheeler and was an excellent mechanic.
Ken enjoyed spending as much time as he could with his son Michael teaching him about the outdoors and just being his dad.
A beloved son, grandson, brother, and father he is survived by his mother and step father Betty Lou and Fred Ives, Salisbury, his son Michael, L. Ralston at home, a brother Jeremiah R. Thomas and his wife Dayna, Ilion, 3 sisters Marcia K. Kamp and her husband David, Richfield Springs, Shallon R. Boyer and her husband Shawn, Salisbury and Laureen S. Hollingsworth, Salisbury, his maternal grandmothers Patricia Currie, Newport and Kathleen (Colvin) Kelsey, Alaska, his great grandmother Ruth Currie, Newport, his close friends Daniel and David VanOlst, Salisbury and many aunts, uncles cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his father Mike E. Ralston, who died in October of 1981, his grandfather William Currie, Sr., his great grandfather Harry Curie and by his uncle David J. Currie, Sr., who died on June 16, 2005.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at 8:00 pm from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Rodney Congdon, Pastor of the Curtiss Corners Stone Chapel officiating. Graveside interment services will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at 10:00 am at the Curtiss Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 21, 2005 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services to follow and to attend the graveside services Wednesday morning.
