Obituary of Rose M. Jones

LITTLE FALLS Rose M. Jones, 79 of Gun Club Road, Little Falls passed away peacefully Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Little Falls Hospital with her loving family at her side. She was born on June 6, 1932 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Bryant and Hazel (White) Kelly. She was educated at St. Marys Academy, Little Falls. She was united in marriage to her husband of 60 years George A. Jones Jr. on November 3, 1951 at the Inghams Mills Baptist Church. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Holy Family Parish Church, Little Falls. As well as a member of the Little Falls Polish Community Home, and the American Legion Post # 31, Ladies Auxiliary, Little Falls. She enjoyed cooking and spending time at her camp on Keyser Lake and had an extensive doll collection. Mrs. Jones was employed for over 30 years as a private duty home health aide. She is survived by her husband George, her sons George (Buster) Jones and his wife Sundi, Little Falls and Brett Jones, St. Johnsville, her daughters Cynthia Jones and her husband Kenneth Clark, Cold Brook and Robin Messina and her husband Nicholas, Little Falls, a brother Francis (Frank) Kelly, Little Falls, two sisters Florence Bacher, Ilion and Rhea Cannerelli, Little Falls, thirteen grandchildren Sundi Jones, Courtney Jones (Naomi), George M. Jones IV (Amanda Harris), Rebecca Jones, Joshua Cotton, Kana Berlinsky (Rick), Niki Marie Messina Loefler (Robert), Michael George Jones Messina (Donna), Brandon Nicholas Jones Messina, Jaden Nicholas Jones Messina, Jacob Nicholas Jones Messina, Cearrah Rose Jones Messina and Amarianie Savage, many great grand children, several nieces and nephews and her dog Mopsie. She was predeceased by her brothers William and Bryant Kelly, sisters Vera Kraszewski and Mary Bokowski and a granddaughter Rochelle Lynne Jones. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 11:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Thomas Lawless, officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Thursday, September 22, 2011 from 10 - 11 am and to attend the funeral services to follow. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Jones be considered to the Herkimer County Humane Society, PO Box 73, Mohawk, NY 13407. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
