Obituary of Sam Crisino

LITTLE FALLS - Sam Crisino, 86 formerly of 5896 State Route 167, (Dolgeville Rd.), Little Falls and since January of 2000 a resident of the Masonic Home, Utica passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at that residence. He was born on November 22, 1917 in Herkimer the son of the late Guiseppe and Maria (Chiareimante) Crescini. He was a graduate of Herkimer High School. He was married at onetime to the former Leah Cinquanta. Mr. Crisino was a veteran of World War II serving with the US Army. Entering the service on February 12, 1943 at Ft. Niagara, NY. He served with the Armored Field Artillery Battalion in the European theater. He was honorably discharged as a Private First Class on November 1, 1945 at Ft. Dix, NJ. He was of the Catholic faith. Mr. Crisino was employed for over 30 years as a cutter for the former Daniel Green Co., Dolgeville retiring in 1984. He is survived by 3 sons Samuel J. Crisino and his wife Nancy, Poland, James M. Crisino, Little Falls and Leonard J. Crisino and his wife Sharri Lyn, Okeechobee, FL, 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Marianne Lamphere, who died in November of 2003, also by 2 brothers John and Paul Crisino and a sister Mary Crisino. Memorial services will be held on Monday, February 23, 2004 at 6:00 pm from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Thomas Vail of the Holy Family Parish, Little Falls officiating. Final interment will take place in Church Street Cemetery, Little Falls in the spring. The family will be present at the funeral home to receive relatives and friends on Monday, February 23, 2004 from 4 - 6 pm and following the services. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mr. Crisino be considered to the Kuyahoora Valley Ambulance Corps. (KVAC), P.O. Box 282, Poland, NY 13431.
