Obituary of Shawn Patrick Reardon

LITTLE FALLS Shawn Patrick Reardon, 54 of 26 Top Notch Drive, Little Falls passed away Monday, August 3, 2009 at his residence. He was born on September 27, 1954 in Little Falls the son of Patrick A. Reardon of Little Falls and the late Jean E. (Roach) Reardon. A life long resident of Little Falls he was a graduate of Little Falls High School Class of 1973 as well as a graduate of Herkimer County Community College. He was member of the Holy Family Parish of Little Falls. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge # 42 BPOE, Little Falls, Little Falls German Maennechor, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, former Local 310, Utica and at onetime a member of the former Moose Lodge, Little Falls. He was also active in Democratic Party politics. Shawn was employed as a materials manager for the former Niagara Mohawk Power Corp, Utica retiring in 1998. He is survived by his father Patrick A. Reardon, Little Falls, his brother Patrick D. Reardon and his wife Lisa, Little Falls, three sisters Maureen Petkovsek, Little Falls, his twin sister Shelia Reardon Gilman and her husband Jeffrey, Hamilton, NY and Abby Kosty and her husband Michael, Vestal, NY, a sister in law Mary Reardon, Dolgeville, his nieces and nephews Lynda Petkovsek, Luke Petkovsek, Megan Blenis, Abigail Riley, Bridget Riley, Rachel Kosty, Michael Kosty, Shelby Reardon, Sara Reardon and Patrick Reardon and many aunts, uncles, cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Jean Reardon on March 29, 2005 and by 2 brothers Daniel T. Reardon on August 8, 1961 an d Donald F. Reardon on July 21, 1999. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 10:30 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls and at 11:00 am from the Holy Family Parish Church, Cor. Main & John St.s, Little Falls where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Ligato. Interment will take place in St. Marys Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Thursday morning. In lieu of flowers it is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Shawn be considered to the American Diabetes Association, 110 Lomond Court, Utica, NY 13502 or to Hospice and Palliative Care, 4277 Middle Settlement Rd., New Hartford, NY 13413. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose. The family would like to thank Dr. Christy and Dr. Rockwell and the staff of Bassett Healthcare for the kindness and compassion show to Shawn over the years. They would also like to thank the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care for all that they did for Shawn and his family. Members of the Elks Lodge # 42 BPOE, Little Falls will call in a body at the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm to conduct their ritualistic services.
