Obituary of William H. Sivack Jr

William H. Sivack Jr. LITTLE FALLS - William H. Sivack Jr., 61 formerly of 68 Salisbury Street, Little Falls and since May of 2001 a resident of the Van Allen Nursing Home, Little Falls passed away Sunday, December 25, 2005 following a prolonged illness at that residence. He was born on March 23, 1944 in Little Falls the son of the late William and Mary (DeForrest) Sivack, Sr.. A life long resident of Little Falls and a member of Holy Family parish, Billy graduated from Little Falls High School where he was active in Winter Sports, Band, and Drama Club. Bill was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and attended the National Scouting camp at Philmont, New Mexico. Following graduation from LFHS Bill attended Adirondack Community College and then worked for the Remington Arms Co. in Ilion. Bill had a great appetite for Pizza; he had a well-earned reputation for being a prankster and for having a wry sense of humor. His family and friends mourn his passing, remember him fondly, and will miss him greatly. Billy was predeceased by both his parents. He is survived by his paternal Uncle, Robert Sivack, his maternal Aunts, Helen Sivack of Little Falls and Catherine Harrington of Herkimer and several cousins. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at 11:00 am Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills in the spring. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Thursday, December 29, 2005 from 10-11 am and to attend the funeral services to follow. in Lieu of flowers it is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mr. Sivack be considered to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 7, East Syracuse, P.O. Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13507. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose. The family wishes to thank the Staff of the Van Allen Nursing Home for the kindness, consideration and sensitive care giving which they provided to Bill. In addition special thanks go to Mr. & Mrs. Matthew Bailock who, during Bill's illness, have been exceptional neighbors and friends.
