Obituary of Ellsworth (Al) Snell
LITTLE FALLS - Ellsworth (Al) Snell, 80 of 168 Bidleman Road, Little Falls passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at his residence.
He was born on April 8, 1925 in Youkers Bush, NY the son of the late Milo and Beulah (Stock) Snell. He was educated in Youkers Bush Rural Schools.
He was united in marriage to his wife of 53 years the former Sylvia M. Cromer on September 4, 1948 at the Youkers Bush Church. Mrs. Snell Predeceased him on June 7, 2002.
He was a member of the Inghams Mills Baptist Church.
Mr. Snell along with his wife Sylvia were the owners and operators of Windy Acres Farm in the Town of Minden and later the operators of the former Mohawk Valley Commission Sales, Little Falls.
He is survived by 4 sons Wayne R. Snell and his wife Bonnie, Ft. Plain, Kevin L. Snell and his wife Jill, Inghams Mills, Dean J. Snell and his wife Anita, Little Falls and Dana P. Snell and his wife Pamela, Little Falls, a daughter Judith A. Jones and her husband Wayne, Little Falls, 3 brothers Emmett Snell, Johnstown, Otis Snell and his wife Lucille, Beul, NY, and Grant Snell and his wife Sharon, Clockville, NY, 3 sisters Ora Seeley and her husband Gordon, Stratford, Beatrice Leavenworth, Edgewater, FL and Elsie Ebert, Saratoga, 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Milo Snell, Jr. and by 2 sisters Betty Snell and Iona Wert.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 24, 2005 at 10:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with Pastor Gertrude Ortlieb of the Inghams Mills Baptist Church officiating. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Thursday, June 23, 2005 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Friday morning.
