Obituary of Timothy L. Metot, Sr

LITTLE FALLS- Timothy L. Metot, Sr., 91 formerly of 55 Glen Ave., Little Falls passed away Friday, February 18, 2011 at Little Falls Hospital. He was born on June 21, 1919 in Little Falls, the son of the late Samuel and Margaret (Callahan) Metot. He was educated in the Little Falls schools. On December 28, 1945 he was united in marriage to his wife of 59 years the former Elizabeth Cvetezar at St. Marys Church, Little Falls. Mrs. Metot predeceased him on April 8, 2005. Mr. Metot was a veteran serving with the US Army. Entering the service December 1941. He was honorably discharged on October 1945. Following the service Mr. Metot returned to Little Falls where he was employed by Mohawk Valley Paper Co. He retired in 1984 after 36 years of service. He is survived by his son Timothy L. Metot, Jr. and his wife Margaret, Dolgeville, his three daughters Elizabeth J. Metot, Amsterdam, Linda Metot, Denver, CO., Natalie Grippe, Chicopee, MA., his sister Marlene Spacapan and her husband Frank, Mohawk, his five grandchildren Jeffrey Metot, Michael, Anne and Gina Ciani, Eddie Westbrook, his three great grandchildren Chandler, Jeffrey and Cole Metot and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers Edward and Robert Metot and a sister Dorothy Gregory Funeral services will be held in the spring at a time and date to be announced.
