Obituary of Victoria M. (Vicki) Daniel

LITTLE FALLS - Victoria M. (Vicki) Daniel, 85 formerly of 47 Top Notch Drive, Little Falls and since April of 2003 a resident of the Folts Home, Herkimer passed away Saturday, November 27, 2004 at that residence. She was born on April 12, 1919 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Wojciech and Maryanna (Szymanska) Rachon. She was educated in the Newport Schools. She was united in marriage to her husband of 65 years Richard J. Daniel on July 3, 1938 at the Christ Lutheran Church, Little Falls with the Rev. J.F.K. Riebesell officiating. Mr. Daniel predeceased her on December 12, 2003. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, Little Falls and the Ladies Aid Society of that church. Mrs. Daniel was employed in various dress manufacturing companies in the Little Falls area as a floor lady for over 30 years. She retired from the former Little Falls Frock's Dress Co., Little Falls in 1975 due to ill health. She is survived her son Richard R. Daniel and his wife Linda, Highland, NY, a granddaughter Kristeen Holtz and her husband William, Whitinsville, MA, a brother Peter Rachon, Little Falls, 2 great granddaughters Emma & Ruby Holtz and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 3 brothers Frank Rachon, who died in 1987, Joseph E. Rachon, who died in 1991 and Walter Rachon, who died in 2001 and a sister Helen Rachon, who died in 2002. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at 11:00 am from the Christ Lutheran Church, 14 Petrie Street, Little Falls with the Rev. James Paulson, Pastor officiating. Interment will take place in Church Street Cemetery, Little Falls. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls on Monday, November 29, 2004 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Tuesday morning. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Daniel be considered to the Christ Lutheran Church, 14 Petrie Street, Little Falls, NY 13365 or to the Folts Home, 104 N. Washington Street, Herkimer, NY 13350. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose
