LITTLE FALLS - Vilma M. Kurdenski, 88 of 593 Albany Street, Little Falls and since October of 2003 a resident of the Van Allen Nursing Home, Little Falls passed away Saturday, January 17, 2004 at that residence.
She was born on August 11, 1915 in Detroit, MI the daughter of the late Joseph and Vilma (Gal) Selage. She was educated in New York City schools.
She was united in marriage to Michael Kurdenski in 1946 in New York City. Mr. Kurdenski predeceased her on June 3, 1974.
Mrs. Kurdenski was a member of the Holy Family Parish of Little Falls and the Rosarians of that church. She was also a member of the Little Falls Senior Citizens, the Rock City Chapter, AARP and the American Legion Post # 31, Ladies Auxiliary.
She was employed at onetime by the former Allegro Shoe Corp., Little Falls and was last employed by the Salada Foods Co., Little Falls retiring several years ago.
She is survived by her daughter Jean A. Barnes, Little Falls, her grandson Jason M. Barnes and granddaughter Stacy A. Barnes, both of Little Falls and several nieces nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Joseph Selage.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at 6:00 pm from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Town of Herkimer in the spring.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 20, 2004 from 4-6 pm and to attend the funeral service to follow.
