Obituary of Wendell (Red) Unser

LITTLE FALLS - Wendell (Red) Unser, 70 of 790 E. Main Street, Little Falls passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at his residence. He was born on October 8, 1934 in Little Falls the son of the late W. Wendell and Marguerite (Woodruff) Unser. He was educated in Little Falls Schools. He was united in marriage to his wife of 46 years the former Ann E. Noonan on June 7, 1958 at St. Mary's Church, Little Falls. Mr. Unser was a veteran of the US Army, Entering the service on November 18, 1955 on November 16, 1957 he was transferred to the US Army Reserve and later to the US Air Force Reserve. He was honorably discharge on April 3, 1962. He was a member of the Holy Family Parish of Little Falls. As well as a member of the Polish Community Home and the Dolgeville Rod & Gun Club. He was and avid fisherman. Mr. Unser was employed for 28 as a welder for the Remington Arms Co., Ilion. Retiring in 1991. He is survived by his wife Ann, 2 sons Daniel W. Unser and his wife Nancy, Charlotte, NC and William C. Unser and his wife Lorie, Little Falls, 2 daughters Debra U. Feeney and her husband Michael, Little Falls and Linda M. Unser, Canadarago Lake, a brother Doug Unser, Little Falls and a sister Karen Klimacek, Little Falls, 5 grandchildren Patrick and Kaitlin Feeney, Jade Unser and Jamie and Christine Fox and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2004 at 10:30 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls and at 11:00 am from the Holy Family Parish Church, Cor. main & Johns Str's, Little Falls where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Ligato. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Friday, October 22, 2004 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Saturday morning. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mr. Unser be considered to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
