Egon Westerfeld LITTLE FALLS - Egon Westerfeld, 79 of 596 Garden Street, Little Falls passed away Friday, January 6, 2006 at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital, New Hartford. He was born on June 21, 1926 in Bremen, Germany. The son of the late Hubert and Anna (Gunther) Westerfeld. He was educated in his native schools and also apprenticed in Industrial Engineering. He came to the country and to the Little Falls area in 1956. He was united in marriage to the former Marina Andres on October 21, 1981 in Spain. Mr. Westerfeld was a veteran of World War II serving as a paratrooper with the German Army. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Little Falls. He was an avid antique and glassware collector. He also enjoyed traveling to his sons sporting events in both high school and college, and found great pleasure in spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Westerfeld was employed for over 30 years as a cost estimator for the former Allegro Shoe Corp., Little Falls. He is survived by his beloved wife Marina, and his son James Egon Westerfeld a student a Utica College. In keeping with Mr. Westerfeld's wishes services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. There are no calling hours.
