Obituary of Michael B Douglas

ILION – Michael B. Douglas, 44 of Brewer Road, Ilion passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Little Falls Hospital. He was born on September 14, 1969 in Cooperstown, NY the son of Gerald D. Douglas, Fort Plain, NY and the late Cheryl A. (Klock) Brownell. He was a graduate of Fort Plain High School Class of 1987. He was united in marriage to his wife of 22 years the former Jody L. Oldick on February 15, 1992 at the home of the grooms parent’s in Fort Plain. A simple and caring man he enjoyed spending his time with his family. Mr. Douglas was employed as a truck driver for Leitz Enterprises, Frankfort, NY He is survived by his wife Jody, his son Benjamin Douglas, Ilion, his daughter Marissa Douglas, Ilion, his father and step mother Gerald D. and Eileen Douglas, Fort Plain, brothers Charles Brownell (Stephanie), Little Falls, Daniel Brownell, Sr. (Candice), Canajoharie, Bert Brownell (Karla), Fort Plain, Mark Douglas (Eunice), Eric Douglas and Gerald Douglas, Jr. (Jennifer) all of Fort Plain, his sisters Sandra Douglas (Michael Schmidt), Fort Plain, Melissa Douglas, Fort Plain and Julie Putnam (Chris Lanfair), New Berlin, NY, several step brothers and sister and many nieces and nephews. In keeping with Mike’s wishes relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of his Life to be held from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls on Monday, March 31, 2014 from 4-6 pm. An informal service will follow at 6:00 pm where those present are asked to share their memories.
