Obituary of Frank P. Sterusky, Sr.

LITTLE FALLS - Frank P. Sterusky, Sr., 71 of Brockett Road, Little Falls passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown. He was born on December 11, 1942 in Little Falls the son of the late Samuel and Frances (Petkovsek) Sterusky. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy, Little Falls. He was married at onetime to the former Donna Bleaking and later for 22 years to the former Daisy Cool Sterusky. Mr. Sterusky was a member of the Holy Family Parish Church, Little Falls as well as a member of the Sprite Club, a life member of the Salisbury Ridge Runners Club, the Dolgeville Rod & Gun Club and the Little Falls Polish Community Home. In his youth a member of the 4-H Club. He enjoyed bowling on the Monday night men’s league on the Manheim Collision team at Gorge View Lanes, Little Falls, competing in tractor pulling events in the area, classic cars, especially driving his 1962 Chevy Impala and Oldsmobile Star fire cars, traveling to casinos, SU Basketball games, his annual trip to the Daytona 500, watching the NY Yankees and being outdoors. He also enjoyed growing pumpkins and won several awards for his pumpkins and the tallest corn stalks at the Herkimer County Fair. He will be fondly remembered for his big heart and all the love he had for those that were in his life. He touched so many lives with his smile, laughter and jokes. Mr. Sterusky was a dairy farmer all of his life. From a young man on the family homestead farm “Manor Farms” and later the Sterusky Brothers Farms, in the Town of Manheim and presently the co – owner operator of the “Manor Farms II”, Town of Manheim. He is survived by his sons; Michael J. Sterusky, John E. Sterusky and Frank P. Sterusky and his girlfriend Janet Fish, all of Little Falls, his brother; Samuel Sterusky, Little Falls and his twin sister; Frances (Dolly) Oertel, Palatine Bridge, his sister in law; Sally Sterusky, Little Falls, his grandchildren; Jonathan and Zackary Sterusky and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers; Jimmy and Ralph Sterusky and his sister; Genevieve Sterusky. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 11:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY with Deacon Ronald St. Marie officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Thursday. March 27, 2014 from 9-11 am and to attend the funeral services to follow. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mr. Sterusky be considered to the Holy Family Parish, 763 E.
