Obituary of Mary A George
LITTLE FALLS – Mary A. George, 91 formerly of Sandy Lane Road, Town of Little Falls passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Valley Health Services, Herkimer where she had been a resident.
She was born on March 13, 1923 in Middleville, NY the daughter of the late Samuel and Mable (Randall) Schrader. She was educated at Schrader Hill Rural School and was a graduate of West Canada Valley High School.
Mrs. George was united in marriage to her husband of 33 years Joseph P. George on June 29, 1957. Mr. George predeceased her on January 9, 1989.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Herkimer-Little Falls.
Mrs. George was employed in the assembly department of the former MDS. Corp.., Herkimer and at one time by the former Loblaw’s Grocery Store, Felt Shoe Co. and the P & K Dress Co., all of Little Falls.
She is survived by her sons; Richard Smith and his wife Lorraine, Joseph George and his wife Judy and David George and his fiancé Tanya Neff all of Little Falls, her daughter; Marian Sue Braccini and her husband Ronald, Little Falls, her grandchildren; Richard Smith, Tracy (Smith) Petkovsek, Joseph George, Jason George, David George and Steven George, great grandchildren; Alexis Krazewski, Samantha Petkovsek, Claire Petkovsek, Rikki Smith and Madelene George, several nieces and nephews, special niece and nephew; Pat & Joe Gizowski, Herkimer, and a special friend; Frank Slabe, Mohawk. She was predeceased by a sister; Emma Woodrick.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 11:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY with the Rev. Janet Gleason, Pastor of the United Methodist Church Herkimer - Little Falls officiating. Interment will take place in Middleville Rural Cemetery, Middleville.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 9-11 am and to attend the funeral services to follow.
