Obituary of Eloise C Frazier

LITTLE FALLS - Eloise C. Frazier, 95, formerly of 38 W. Lansing Street, Little Falls and more recently of Lakeland, FL passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center as a result of complications from Myelodysplastic Syndrome. She was born on October 15, 1919 in Norfolk, VA, the daughter of the late Elmer and Lulu (Bennett) Cooley. A graduate of Oneonta High School, she received her Bachelor's Degree from Plattsburgh State Teacher's College and her Master’s Degree from Oneonta State Teacher's College. She was united in marriage to her husband of 55 years, John S. Frazier, on June 13, 1944 in Albany, NY. Mr. Frazier predeceased her on June 4, 1999. Mrs. Frazier began her teaching career for the Walton, NY school district, then as the Home Economics Teacher for the Little Falls City School District, where she retired in 1976 after 20 years of service to the district. She was a member of the United Methodist Church Little Falls/Herkimer where she served on various committees. She also was a member of the Little Falls Hospital Guild, YWCA Board of Directors, Fortnightly Club, local and county Home Economics Organizations, NYS Home Economics Executive Committee, Cooperative Extension, Little Falls Lady Elks, NYS Retired Teachers Association, Red Cross and Community Chest Board of Directors. She is survived by her son, John S. Frazier, Jr., Ewing, NJ; her daughters, Joella Hood and her husband Edward, Wilmington, NY; Carol Reed and William Moth, Clayton, NY and Ann Frazier, Houston, TX; a son-in-law, Timothy Preddice of Gloversville, NY; eight grandchildren, Wendi Coleman and husband Todd, Walworth, NY; Gregg Preddice and wife Carolina, Indian Land, SC; Bryan Preddice, China Grove, NC; Kirsten Bulich, Catskill, NY; Shawn Frazier and wife Candace, Yukon, OK; John S. Frazier, III, Wilton, NY; Eric Frazier and wife Becky, Rochester, NY and Victor Frazier, Ewing, NJ; ten great grandchildren Molly and Ellie Coleman, Matthew, Jordan and Kassadi Bulich, Courtney, Alexandra, Cade and Mason Frazier, and Harper Frazier; and niece and nephew, Jeanne Ferris and William Cooley. She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Preddice on November 17, 1979. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 10:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY with the Rev. Janet Gleason, Pastor of the United Methodist Church, Little Falls/Herkimer officiating. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills.
