Obituary of Margaret A. Wolowice

LITTLE FALLS - Margaret A. Wolowice, 81 formerly of Rockton Plaza, Little Falls and for the past six years of Gansevoort, NY passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Saratoga Hospital with her beloved daughter Kathy Coon at her side. She was born on June 28, 1933 in Fort Plain, NY the daughter of the late William and Anna (Grainer) Cook. She was educated in Fort Plain Rural Schools. She was united in marriage to her husband of 46 years Marion B. Wolowice on September 23, 1950 at the Holy Spirit Polish National Catholic Church, Little Falls. Mr. Wolowice predeceased her on May 6, 1996. Mrs. Wolowice was a very active member of the Holy Spirit Polish National Catholic Church and found great joy in being involved in any duties that needed to be done at the church. She was an avid flower gardener and like to attend to the flowers at her home and church. She and her husband operated the family dairy farm started by her husband’s parents on the Fords Bush Road in the Town of Minden for many years and at one time also was employed by the former Luxaray Co., Little Falls. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Coon and Gerald Farrington, Gansevoort, NY with whom she resided, her son Roger Wolowice and his wife Cheryl, Cottonwood, AZ, her brother Peter Cook and his wife Donna, Fort Plain, her sisters, Shirley Coleman, Fort Plain, Rose Estes, Randall, NY and Beverly Pitcher, Little Falls, four grandchildren, Scott Moody, Hudson Falls, NY, Melissa Hotaling, Virginia Beach, VA, Pam Lewis, Fort Plain, and Angela Miranda, Virginia Beach, VA many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Lynn R. Wolowice on March 11, 2013, her daughter in law, Karen Wolowice on September 7, 2005 and by her brothers, Sam Cook, Billy Cook and an infant brother. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 10:00 am from the Holy Spirit Polish National Catholic Church, 618 E. Gansevoort St., Little Falls, NY with the Rev. Rafel Dadello officiating. Interment will take place in Holy Spirt Polish National Catholic Cemetery, Town of Herkimer at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers it is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Wolowice be considered to the Alzheimer’s association, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
