Obituary of Katherine J Sadlon
LITTLE FALLS - Katherine J. Sadlon, 93 of 111 Kenyon Street, Little Falls passed away Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Folts Home, Herkimer, NY.
She was born on February 9, 1921 in Little Falls the daughter of the late John and Anna (Burch) Yaworski. She was educated at Owen D. Young School, Van Hornesville.
She was united in marriage to her husband of 65 years Paul F. Sadlon on June 29, 1941 at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Falls. Mr. Sadlon predeceased her on February 22, 2006.
She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Falls.
She and her husband Paul enjoyed their family time spent boating on Otsego Lake and in later years spent their winters in Florida and Myrtle Beach, SC.
Mrs. Sadlon was previously employed at the former Little Falls Felt Shoe Co., the former National Automotive Fibers Corp., Little Falls. She was last employed at the Salada Foods, Corp., Little Falls.
A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by her 2 sons Paul J. Sadlon and his wife Sue, Leesburg Florida, John L. Sadlon and his wife JoAnn, Herkimer and her daughter Carol A. Merrill and her husband Douglas, North Myrtle Beach, SC; 2 sisters Nancy Hugick and her husband Bernie, Jordanville and Helen Sadlon, Ilion and a dear sister in law Georgia Yaworski, Carlisle, PA; 6 grandchildren Kathleen Giewont and her husband Mark, Sharon Stenberg and her husband Sam, Jessica Fredricks and her wife Sara, Jill Turner and her husband Andrew, Ryan Wheeler and girlfriend Joanne Taubert, and Lisa Merrill; 5 great grandchildren Hanna and Hope Giewont, Zachary and Jacob Wheeler and Austyn Fredericks and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers; Stephen, Michael and Walter Yaworski, and sisters; Mary Pabes Valentine, Anne Ostasz, Joan Wilson Loiacano and Olga LeDuc Pavlot and several brother and sister in laws.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 2 at 11:00 am from Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc. 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. Interment will take place in Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Little Falls in the spring.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls on Friday, January 2 from 9-11 am and to attend the funeral services Friday morning.
