Obituary of Carl P. Stallman, Sr.

LITTLE FALLS – Carl P. Stallman, Sr., 92 of the Murphy Road, Little Falls (Town of Manheim) passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Alpine Nursing & Rehab. Center, Little Falls where he has been a resident for the past few weeks. He was born on June 21, 1922 in the Town of Salisbury the son of the late Phillip and Sophie (Becker) Stallman. He was educated in Salisbury Rural Schools. On April 13, 1952 he was united in marriage to his wife of 55 years the former Joan E. Arndt. Mrs. Stallman predeceased him on March 13, 2007. A member of the Eastern Regional Draft Horse Assn. He truly enjoyed his time spent with the horse and attending show and events. He was also a member of the “No Name Gang” of Oneonta and at onetime of the National Farmer Organization (NFO). Mr. Stallman was born on the family dairy farm in the Town of Salisbury. He along with his wife and later his children operated the Stallman Dairy Farms until his retirement from farming gin 1986.. Following his retirement he went to work as a equipment operator for the former John Talarico Construction Co., which later became Hanson Industries in their St. Johnsville Mine. He is survived by his four sons; Carl P. Stallman, Jr. and his wife Susan, Little Falls, Edward G. Stallman, Sr. and his wife Robin, Salisbury Corners, Richard A. Stallman, Sr. and Mary Wilcox, Herkimer and David J. Stallman and his wife Janadene, Salisbury and his daughter Mary Zacek, Little Falls, eighteen grandchildren; Melissa Miller and husband Dane, Cassandra Wright and husband Matt, Nicole Stallman, Roxanne Williams and husband Bert, Edward J. Stallman, Jr. and his wife Billi-Jo, Justin Stallman and fiancé Jolene Konik, Matthew Stallman and companion Melanie Johnson, Richard A. Stallman, Jr., Marlena Murray her husband Matt, Dakota Stallman, Ryan Stallman and companion Melina Maine, Taylor Stallman, Jonathan Stallman and his wife Karolina, Kimberly Stallman and fiancé Lawrence Sanders, C.J. Maikranz and his wife Deanna, Conner Maikranz, Ethan Zacek and Tanner Zacek, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son; Mark David Stallman, a grandson; Phillip Leslie Stallman and by a son in law: Mark Zacek, and his sisters; Elsie Stallman and Lillian Johnson. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 10:00 am form the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 512 E. Gansevoort Street, Little Falls, NY with the Rev. Joseph Famulare officiating. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills in the spring. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY.
