Obituary of Ashlyn P. Purpura

SALISBURY CENTER – Ashlyn P. Purpura, 6 left to be with the angels in heaven on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 as a result of complications of Niemann-Pick Disease. She was born on April 19, 2008 in Syracuse, NY the daughter of the Neil M. and Kelly (Mowers) Purpura, Jr. Ashlyn was a member of the Kindergarten class of Dolgeville Central School where she so enjoyed playing and making friends with everyone in her class. Fond of everything pink and purple she enjoyed story time and listening to music. One of her most memorable times was during Christmas of 2013 when Ashlyn and her family traveled to Disney World, Florida as part of the Make a Wish Foundation. She loved seeing all the characters and especially the Princesses. She is survived by her adoring parents; Neil and Kelly, Salisbury Center, her paternal grandparents; Neil and Brenda Purpura, Sr., Salisbury Center, her maternal grandparents; Brenda and Richard Kubecka, Mohawk and Brett Mowers and Lorraine Johnson, Salisbury Center, her little sister; Arieanna, her uncle; Kurtis Mowers and his companion Beth Willingham, Oppenheim, her aunts; Kayleigh Mowers, Toni Williams and her husband Larry, Casey Palmeroni and her husband James as well as Rochelle and Wayne Johnson all of Salisbury Center and several cousins. She was predeceased by her brother; Zachary M. Purpura on June 15, 2005. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 5:00 pm from the Curtiss Corners Stone Chapel, 392 Curtiss Road, Town of Salisbury, NY with the Rev. Rodney Congdon, officiating. Interment will take place in Curtiss Cemetery, Town of Salisbury later in the spring. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Curtiss Corners Stone Chapel on Sunday, March 29, 2015 from 3-5 pm and to attend the funeral services to follow. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY.
