Obituary of Robert G Harwick
LITTLE FALLS – Robert G. Harwick, 74 of 550 E. John St. (Rockton Plaza) Apt. 2-C, Little Falls formerly of Valley View Courts passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 27, 2015 at his residence.
He was born on March 15, 1941 in Little Falls the son of the late George and Mildred (Hager) Harwick. He was educated in Little Falls Schools.
He was united in marriage to his wife of 50 years the former Violet V. Looman on June 21, 1963 at the First Presbyterian Church, Little Falls. Mrs. Harwick predeceased him on June 11, 2013.
Mr. Harwick was a veteran of the US Navy and was honorably discharged as a Seaman Apprentice in 1961.
He was an avid bowler in the Friday Night leagues and for many years an instructor for the NYS Hunters Safety Program.
He was employed for many years as a service station attendant on the NYS Thruway at the Indian Castle Service area.
He is survived by his son; David Harwick (Rachel), Milton, FL, his daughters; Kandi Fullington, Albany, NY, Beverly Whitmer (Timothy). Glendale, AZ and Norma Rumrill (Edgar), Dolgeville, his brother David Harwick (Judy), Olympia, WA, 5 grandchildren Brittany(Emery) Allen, Stephen Harwick, Kimberlygayle Whitmer, Rebecca Whitmer and Cody Whitmer, 2 great grandchildren Laila Allen and Adalyn Whitmer and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Dibble-Tuttle Cemetery, Town of Salisbury.
Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. There are no calling hours.
