Obituary of Waldemar Salek

LITTLE FALLS – Waldemar Salek, 88 of 550 E. John Street (Rockton Plaza) Apt. 7-G, Little Falls passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the Alpine Nursing and Rehab. Center, Little Falls where he had been a resident since July 2015. He was born on January 19, 1927 in Poland, Europe the son of the late Thomas and Janina (Wolska) Salek. He immigrated to this country in 1962 and settled in Little Falls in 1963. He was educated in Belgium schools and later attended Belgium Professional School. In 1964 he attended the RCA Technical School in New York City, NY and in 1980 through correspondence school received his masters certification in air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance. On January 27, 1977 he was united in marriage to the former Leona (Bober) Serow in the Town of Little Falls. Mrs. Salek predeceased him on May 27, 2005. Mr. Salek was employed for 20 years in the Maintenance Department of Little Falls Hospital. He is survived by his many friends, neighbors and staff at Rockton Plaza. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N.
