Obituary of Elizabeth C Colony
LITTLE FALLS – Elizabeth C. (Betty) Colony, 83 of Church Street, Little Falls, NY passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Faxton – St. Luke’s Health Care, New Hartford, NY with her loving family by her side.
She was born on November 17, 1931 in the Town of Danube, NY the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Leszcyenski) Krasko. She was educated in Little Falls and Herkimer schools.
On October 6, 1956 she was united in marriage to her husband of 58 years Frederick M. Colony at St.. Joseph’s Church, Dolgeville, NY.
Mrs. Colony was an excellent seamstress using those talents over the years at the former Gilbert Knitting Mill and P & K Dress Co, both of Little Falls and later at the Dufold Co., Mohawk, until her retirement. During her retirement she continued sewing for many clients as well as working various part time positions in the area. She enjoyed many hobbies including crafting, knitting, crocheting, reading, gardening and spending time with family.
She is survived by her husband; Frederick, her son; Michael Colony and his wife Bonnie, Poland, NY, her daughters; Kathleen Lyndaker and her husband Marlin, Little Falls, Patricia Colony-Bigness and her husband Glen, Naples, FL and Sandra Campione and her husband Phillip, Phelps, NY, her brothers; Raymond Krasko and his wife Dolores, Yuma, AZ and Joseph Krasko and his wife Diane, Sumter, SC, her sister; Frances Cook, New Jersey, her grandchildren; Jennifer (Lyndaker) Stoltzfus (David), Lancaster, PA, Benjamin Lyndaker (Kasi), Salisbury, MD, Morgan Springer and Katelyn Springer, Phelps, NY, and a great granddaughter; Lilyan Lyndaker, also surviving are her close cousin and dear friends John and Delores Hart, Little Falls. She was predeceased by 6 brother and 9 sisters.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY.
