Obituary of Kenneth A Dineen
ILION – Kenneth A. Dineen, Sr., 66 of Spruce Street, Ilion, NY passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Utica.
He was born on August 2, 1949 in Little Falls, NY the son of James J. Dineen, Sr. of Little Falls and the late Louise G. (Lamphere) Dineen. He was a graduate of Dolgeville High School Class of 1969.
On June 5, 1971 he was united in marriage to his wife of 44 years the former Jean A. Dickenson at the First Baptist Church, Little Falls.
A member of the First Baptist Church, Little Falls who in his youth enjoyed playing on the church softball team. An avid Yankees Fan, he also enjoyed playing cards, going to the Fonda Speedway and spending time with his family.
Mr. Dineen was employed for 40 years as a Machinist for the Remington Arms, Co., Ilion retiring in 2012.
He is survived by his father; James J. Dineen, Sr. of Little Falls, his wife; Jean of Ilion, his son; Kenneth A. Dineen, Jr. and his companion Sarah Walts of Queensbury, NY, his daughters; Beth Hendrie and her husband Chris of Little Falls and Christine Starcher and her husband William of Spencer, West Virginia, two brothers; Gerry Dineen, and Terry L. Dineen, both of Dolgeville and his sister; Kathy Miller and her husband Ted of Dolgeville, six grandchildren; Gaven Monohan, Ethan Dineen, Kristofer Hendrie, Allyson Hendrie, Connor Starcher and Kaitlyn Starcher, his brother in law; Earl Dickenson and his wife Deborah of Raymond, NH, a niece and ten nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers; Mark Dineen in 1975, James J. Dineen, Jr., in 2006 and William C. Johnson in 2013.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 10:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY with the Rev. Donald L. Dixon, Pastor Emeritus of the First Baptist Church, Little Falls officiating. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Saturday morning.
