Obituary of Bambi L Russett
WATERVILLE - Bambi L. Russett, 57 of State Route 20, Waterville, NY passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Cancer Treatment Center of Philadelphia.
She was born on March 23, 1958 in Goldsboro, N. Carolina the daughter of Ronald S. Metz, Sr., Little Falls, NY and the late Joan (Trasky) Metz. She was educated at Dolgeville Central School.
On July 19, 2003 she was united in marriage to William G. Russett, Jr. at the home of the brides brother Ronald Metz, Jr. in the Town of Manheim, NY.
For many years Mrs. Russett was employed as a Certified Nurse’s Aide for the Folts Home, Herkimer. She was last employed in that same capacity for the Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton, NY.
She found her greatest joy in spending with her family and friends.
She is survived by her father; Ronald, her husband; William, her sons; Donald Holdridge, Jr. New Hartford, Dustin Holdridge, Waterville and Aaron Russett, Herkimer, her daughters; Dana Holdridge, Little Falls, Denise Stone, New Hartford, Dale Callander, Troy, NY, Brianna Russett, Frankfort, Justina Kowalczik (James), Ilion and Shawna Russett, Herkimer, her brothers; Ronald S. Metz, Jr., (Rhoni), Little Falls and Shane D. Metz, Little Falls, her sisters; Cori Jerin (Richard), Little Falls, Karen Atkins (Michael), Newport and Jodi Cronin (Mitchell), Little Falls, 14 grandchildren; Brandon Holdridge, Alyssa Hyney, Kelsea Holdridge, Kianna, Trey and Tyrese Nyanjong, Taiquan, Tiarah and Tavana Scott, Taylor and Alex Holdridge, Portia Calander, Brantley Bouck and Heavenly Stone and her first great grandchild expected soon. She was predeceased by her ,mother Joan Metz on November 14, 2010.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at 11:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. Interment will follow at Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills with Pastor Gertrude Ortlieb officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Saturday, December 26, 201 from 10-11 am and to attend the funeral services to follow.
In lieu of flowers it is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Russett be considered to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 1331 East Wyoming Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19124 or the American Cancer Society, PO Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
