Obituary of Patricia A Smith
LITTLE FALLS – Patricia A. Smith, 75, of Porteus Street, Little Falls passed away Monday, February 1, 2016 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Utica with her loving family at her side.
She was born on August 9, 1940 in Stratford, NY the daughter of the late Andrew F. and Charlotte M. (Hall) Noonan. She was educated in Dolgeville schools.
On June 27, 1970 she was united in marriage to her husband of 45 years Charles N. Smith in the Town of Little Falls. Mr. Smith predeceased her on March 25, 2015.
Mrs. Smith was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post# 31, Little Falls and the Michael Plesick Post# 4915 VFW, Herkimer.
She was employed for several years before her retirement as an expeditor for the former H.P. Snyder Mfg. Co, Little Falls and was also employed at onetime by the former Allegro Shoe Co., Little Falls and the former Dalson Shoe and Daniel Green Co., both of Dolgeville.
In her spare time she enjoyed listing to Patsy Cline music and watching westerns like Bonanza and John Wayne movies, Law & Order and loved to play pitch and rummy card games.
She is survived by her daughter; Jodi Lynn Montgomery and special friend Tony Ross, Little Falls, her brothers; Richard Noonan and his wife Ann, Dolgeville and Charles Noonan and his companion Carolyn Baron, Herkimer, her grandchildren; Chad Grower (Amanda), Little Falls and James Grower, Herkimer, a great grandson; Isaac Grower, several nieces and nephews, her special niece Kathy Jackson, Little Falls, several grand nieces and nephews and her loving canine companion “Lady Mae”. She was predeceased by her feline companion of 18 years “Baby” in 2005.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 6:00 pm from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills in the spring.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 5-6 pm and to attend the funeral services to follow.
