Obituary of Merwin L Trasky

LITTLE FALLS- Merwin L. Trasky, 81 of 270 Cemetery Road, Little Falls passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Little Falls Hospital. He was born on July 25, 1934 in Little Falls the son of the late Stanley and Bessie (Radley) Trasky. He is a graduate of Little Falls High School Class of 1952. He was united in marriage to his wife of 58 years to the former Beverly J. MacLean on June 28, 1958 at St. Mary’s Church parsonage, Little Falls. Mr. Trasky was a veteran of the US Navy entering the service to his country on August 5, 1952 and honorably discharged on August 4, 1960. He preceded to join the US Naval Reserve until June of 1968. Following his discharge he then joined the American Legion Post # 31, Little Falls. For many years he was employed by Agway in several areas throughout the Mohawk Valley as a furnace repair technician. He is survived by his wife; Beverly, a son; David Trasky and his wife Helen of Fonda, NY, a daughter; Kathy Wright and her husband Daryl of Little Falls, a granddaughter; Heather Trasky. Brothers-in-law, Ronald Metz and Joseph Langer, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister; Joan Metz on November 14, 2010, brother-in-law, John MacLean, sisters-in-law, Gloria (MacLean) Langer and Donna MacLean. In keeping with his wishes services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers it is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Merwin L. Trasky be considered to the Disabled American Veteran (DAV), Leo O'Brien Bldg., Albany, NY,. 12207. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
