Obituary of Wava A Ropeter

LITTLE FALLS - Wava A. Ropeter, 83 of Little Falls, NY passed away, Monday, August 15, 2016 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Utica where she had been a patient since August 7, 2016. She was born on June 22, 1933 in Little Falls, NY the daughter of the late Harry D. and Dorothy (Congdon) Walrath. She was educated in Stratford and St. Johnsville Schools. On April 8, 1950 she was united in marriage to the her husband of 38 years Earl Ropeter in Nelliston, NY . Mr. Ropeter predeceased her on September 18, 1988. Mrs. Ropeter was a member of the Full Gospel Assembly of God Church, Salisbury Center. She enjoyed taking care of her home and spending with her family and friends. She is survived by her sons; Wayne E. Ropeter, Robert L. Ropeter and Richard A. Ropeter all of Little Falls, her daughters; Elaine Ropeter, Herkimer, Lisa Warn, Herkimer and Tammy Miller (Kenneth), Herkimer, her sister; Sharon Barnes (David), Dolgeville, 18 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers; Everett Walrath in 1990, Jean Walrath in 1995 and Allen L. Walrath in 2001. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 11:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY with the Rev. Rodney Congdon, officiating. Interment will take place in Curtiss Cemetery, Town of Salisbury. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 10-11 am and to attend the funeral services to follow.
