Obituary of Melissa Ann (Missy) Cook

LITTLE FALLS – Melissa Ann (Missy) Cook, 44 of Snells Bush Road, Little Falls, NY (Town of Manheim) passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 29, 2016. She was born on September 21, 1972 in Little Falls the daughter of the Robert J and Stephanie (Otrupcak) Cook of Little Falls. She was a graduate of Little Falls High School. Missy was employed at onetime various nursing homes and always worked along with her parents and brother at the family dairy farm and continued in that capacity when the family farm changed over to raise Quarter Horse’s. Missy’s life was most passionate of her family. Everyone was “neck and neck “ on the “totem pole” but none more precious than her daughter Summer and her late brother Bobby. The void in her heart has finally been filled in the reuniting with Bobby. Since his passing in 2007 until present they were inseparable and lived life to the utmost. Missy was a dear friend to all who knew her, she so honored her Rosary and Scapular of our dear Blessed Mother. It was part of her life like the air she breathed. She is survived by her parents; Robert & Stephanie Cook, Little Falls, her daughter; Summer M. Ianotta, Little Falls, the father of her daughter; Matthew Ianotta, Little Falls and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear and close friends especially her devoted friend John Kent of Utica whom so dearly loved each other. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Stephen (Bobby) Cook on December 1, 2007, by her son Angel in 2005, by her paternal grandparents; Robert and Violet Cook and her maternal grandparents; Stephen and Helen Otrupcak. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Missy be considered to the Herkimer County Humane Society, PO Box 73, Mohawk, NY 13407. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
