Obituary of Bonita (Bonnie) E Beekman

LITTLE FALLS – Bonita (Bonnie) E. Beekman, 72 of Burwell Street, Little Falls, NY passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at her residence with her loving family at her side. She was born on September 10, 1944 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Frederick and Dorothy (Campbell) Christman. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy, Little Falls class of 1962. On October 19, 1963 she was united in marriage to her husband of 35 years Harold W. Beekman at St. Mary’s Church, Little Falls. Mr. Beekman predeceased her on July 4, 1999. Mrs. Beekman was employed for several years at Burrows Paper Corp, the former Dan-Dee Donuts and Hemstrought’s Bakery, Little Falls and Little Falls Hospital but her favorite place to be was providing Day Care in her home for her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing BINGO, listening to Elvis Presley, Crafting and loved her time with her kids, grand kids and great grand kids and will be truly missed. She is survived by her son; Harold (Mike) Beekman (Wendy), Ilion, her daughters; Lisa Sanzo (Mike), Little Falls, Sue Beekman (Scott Palmer), Mohawk, Pam Daniell (Jim), Flanders, NY, Michele DeLine, Mexico, NY and Margaret Beekman (Billy Griffith), Dolgeville, her brothers; Eddie Christman (Wendy), Little Falls and Rick Christman (Tina) Ilion, her sisters; Sharon Herringshaw (Fran) and Penny Deverese, , all of Little Falls, her grandchildren; Ryan Beekman, Kaycie Maley (Chris), Kayla Foti (Johnathan), Scott Palmer, Jr., Calab DeLine, Alysia DeLine, Kimberly, Emily, James, Sean and Gavin Daniell, Bradley, Brianna and Andrew Lamphere and Christopher DeLine, great grandchildren Chevy DeLine, Brandan Clark, Ellis DeLine, Johnathan and Mason Foti, Nicholas Sanzo and Gabrielle and Ryleigh Kenyon and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers; Mark and Willie Christman, and by a great granddaughter, Sophia Grace Foti. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 10:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY with the Rev. Joseph Famulare, Pastor of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Falls officiating. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 5-7 pm and to attend the funeral services on Saturday morning. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Hospice and the Nurses and staff in the Chemo Therapy Dept. of Bassett Hospital for their care and compassion shown to Mrs. Beekman and her family.
