To Bill's family:
I have fond remembrances of Bill when he resided at Acacia Village in Utica. He was a member of our poker group that met twice a week. The group was just talking about him the other night and then I found his obituary. My deepest sympathy to all of you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Sue Ulrich

I was thinking tonight, what do I remember about Uncle Bill? I remember hearing about the adventures he took his family on. When they went to the Grand Canyon-way out west and road donkeys into the canyon I had no idea at that time I would live even further west. I have visited Sedona in Arizona because I remembered he and Aunt Ruth loved it there. I know why it is beautiful and serene.
I also know how much he brightened when he could play with his great grand children the twinkle in his eye when he saw them brightened a room.
He had a wonderful full life, he will be missed. Love Sue and Harold Bluestein

Bill was a very special friend and colleague. Over the ten plus years I worked at Herkimer BOCES he was a wonderful supporter and mentor. As the District Superintendent I was honored to carry on his legacy along with Bill Whitehill and John Stoothoff. I thoroughly enjoyed our frequent dinners where Bill talked about all kinds of topics. He was not shy about his opinion and his humor was to be admired. The restaurant staff always knew what he ordered. One of his favorites was the Canalside. I had the privilege of meeting his lovely wife Ruth and could tell how much they loved each other. Now they are finally together again. My condolences to the entire family. May you find peace in the strong and lasting memories of a man who positively touched many lives.

I am so sorry to learn of Uncle Bill's death. His long life was well lived and his passing leaves a great hole in the hearts and lives of our family. His smile and the twinkle in his eye are as much a part of my memory of him as his quick whit and keen intelligence. Uncle Bill was such an interesting adult as I was growing up because he had so many interests. Sports, gardening, art, history, a good card game, travel, good food and opera were only a few.
I hope that the treasured thoughts and precious memories of your father will bring comfort to Carol, Lee, Aosta, Bill and your spouses, children and grand children.
Love, Ann

He was the man who would never sit down no matter how many times you invited him to. It was a sort of stubbornness. On the other side of the coin he was a prankster with a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face.
One day when I was in college in New York City I bumped into him on the street. I was on my way to cash a check, and he was in the city for a meeting. Such a small world!
He touched many people during his life through his work, and many cultural and sporting interests. Once while in Santa Barbara I met the wife of Amnon's cousin. She was from Dolgeville of all places, and knew Uncle Bill. Her father had played golf with him.
It is sad to say good bye to people we have come into contact with during this life. It makes us more aware of the fact that we should enjoy and be thankful for the time we are given.
Uncle Bill had a long and productive life. May his soul rest in peace.
Amnon and I send our sincere sympathy to Carol, Joe, Lee, Dick, Aosta, Seth, Bill and Colleen

Uncle Bill had a long and wonderful life and he touched so many other lives along the way. I remember the family reunions and the clambakes and also the Christmas days in Westford when large numbers of cousins (Busackers, Johnsons, and Mathews) somehow fit into what is now Aunt Janet’s house for presents and good cheer. Sarah and I will miss Uncle Bill and extend our sympathies to Carol, Lee, Aosta and Bill,Jr. and all of the next generations

I am very sad to hear of Bill's passing. Bill was kind, warm, loving, intelligent, with a great sense of humor. He helped me a great deal in acclimating to the small town environment when I first moved to Little Falls. May G-d bless his family and friends with peace during their time of mourning, and may Bill's memory be a blessing.

I'm Bill's baby brother. I'd like to post three things I remember about him. First, when I was about 8 years old Bill and I shared an upstairs bedroom in our house in Westford. Many mornings he would drill me with arithmetic problems to do in my head. Always a teacher! Second, he visited us in Hong Kong and another time he and Ruth made to New Zealand. My wife and I, though living in the Far East for 20+ years never made it there. A traveler. Last, one time my sisters, my self, Bill and our spouses went to dinner. As the bill came we all wanted to pay our share. Bill picked up the check,we all put our share on the table but he refused to take the money. We all left leaving the cash on the table. Generous but stubborn like all the Busacker. The waiter got a nice tip. Bill was wonderful big brother.

This is such a nice photo of Uncle Bill. He always seems to have a sly smile on his face..he'd sidle up and ask a somewhat rhetorical question with a grin. (or ask why I wasn't eating the clams..) After we moved to Logan, he'd ask about various local sites, especially whether the Bluebird Restaurant was still here as he'd recall his summer teaching visit(or was it training?) to USU.
I have such fond memories of reunions in Westford and Little Falls and Delmar, with the men manning the grills and the steaming pots of seafood.
Thinking of you with sympathy, Lin
