Obituary of Kathleen L. Windecker

TOWN OF DANUBE – Kathleen L. Windecker, 92 of State Route 5S, Ft. Plain, NY (Town of Danube) passed away Monday, November 28, 2016 at Valley Health Services, Herkimer. She was born on August 12, 1924 in Utica, NY the daughter of the late Raymond and Edna (Koch) Warner. She was a graduate of Little Falls High School. On September 11, 1942 she was united in marriage to her husband of 73 years Russell E. Windecker in Los Angeles, Calif. Mr. Windecker predeceased her on September 11, 2015. Mrs. Windecker was employed for many years as an Administrative Assistant and in the Human Resources Dept. of the former Mohawk Valley General Hospital, Ilion for over 30 years. She was a member of Fort Plain American Legion Post Ladies Auxiliary and served as Past President of the Mohawk Valley VFW Post, Ladies Auxiliary, Fort Plain. She also enjoyed sewing and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her Grandchildren, Michael & Toni Burroughs, Little Falls and Jeanette Reinhardt, Delhi, NY, great grandchildren, Benjamin and Gina Reinhardt, her brothers, Paul & Nora Warner and Allen & Eileen Warner, both of Little Falls. She was predeceased by her daughter, Carolyn A. Burroughs, on May 17, 2013, a grandson, Joseph C. Burroughs on January 17, 2015, her brothers Robert Warner and Walter Warner, October 5, 2007 and by a sister, Elsie Casler on January 30, 1998. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 11:00 am form the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY with the Rev. Chris Wintermute, officiating. Final interment will take place at Mt. View Memorial Gardens, Town of Little Falls in the spring of 2017 It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Windecker be considered to the ARC, Herkimer, PO Box 271, Herkimer, NY 13350.
