Obituary of Dorothy B Johnson

LITTLE FALLS – Dorothy B. Johnson, 90 formerly of 759 E. Monroe St., (Garden Apt.’s), Little Falls passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Alpine Nursing & Rehab. Center where she had been a resident since October of 2016. She was born on March 23, 1926 in the Town of Minden, NY the daughter of the late Russell H. and Hazel B. (Walrath) Baum, Sr.. She was educated in Little Falls and Oppenheim Schools. On October 6, 1945 she was united in marriage to her husband of 41 years Reginald L. Johnson at the Universalist Church Parsonage, Dolgeville. Mr. Johnson predeceased her on January 8, 1987. Mrs. Johnson was employed in various factories in the area, the former Dani-Made and Daniel Green Shoe, Co. both of Dolgeville, the former Allegro Shoe Corp., Little Falls. She was last employed for 19 years before her retirement from the former Little Falls Color Print Co., Little Falls. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Brinkley and her husband Dale, Salisbury, Donna Madison, Dolgeville, Regina Coffin and her husband Richard, Edinberg, NY, Loretta Timmerman, Little Falls and Sharon Martyniuk and her husband Michael, Herkimer, her brother Clifford Baum and his wife Mary, Sharon Springs, NY her sister, Audrey Dillenbeck, Oppenheim, eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Harry Baum in 2002, Russell H. Baum, Jr., in 2009 and by her sister, Ethel May Baum in 2003. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 4:00 pm from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. Interment will take place in Curtiss Cemetery, Town of Salisbury later in the spring. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 2-4 pm and to attend the funeral services on to follow.
