Obituary of Ronald J Pavlus

RICHFIELD SPRINGS – Ronald J. Pavlus, 71 of Division Street, Richfield Springs, NY passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY. He was born on October 28, 1946 in Cooperstown, NY the son of the late John and Anna (Devan) Pavlus. He was a graduate of Owen D. Young High School, Van Hornesville, Class of 1964. Mr. Pavlus was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the US Army. Entering the service on August 13, 1964 in Syracuse. He was honorably discharged as a SP5 on March 7, 1967. On July 5, 1969 he was united in marriage to his wife of 48 years the former Sandra (Fullerton) Hoage at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Falls, NY. He was a member of the Richfield Springs VFW Post and a Life Member of the Ilion American Legion Post # 920. An avid shopper he was always ready for an opportunity to shop for a bargain. Mr. Pavlus was employed by the United State Postal Service for over 30 years retiring as the Postmaster from the Jordanville Post Office. He is survived by his wife Sandra, his sons, Brian Pavlus, Tupper Lake and Ronald J. Pavlus, Jr., and his wife April, Madison, NY, his daughters, Diana Armstrong and her husband John, Richfield Springs, Lisa Fassett and her husband Dale, Hartwick and Jeannette Pavlus, Richfield Springs, his brothers, Richard Pavlus, Jordanville and John Pavlus and his wife Suri, Bronx, NY, eight grandchildren, Rebecca Baker, Wendy Pavlus, Alisha Armstrong, Jessica Fahey, Stacey Pavlus, Logan Ruth, Mark Pavlus and Sierra Nassimos, great grandchildren, Blake Eissler and Olida Pavlus. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in the spring at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Little Falls, NY. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann street, Little Falls, NY. There are no calling hours.
