Obituary of Mary Pauline Chapadeau
LITTLE FALLS – Mary Pauline Chapadeau, 103 of Church Street, Little Falls, NY and since April of 2017 a resident of the Alpine Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Little Falls passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at that residence.
She was born on February 17, 1915 in New York City, NY the daughter of the late John and Fannie (Mazzucchi) Bertuzzi. She was a graduate of Oneonta High School Class of 1933.
On October 28, 1943 she was united in marriage to her husband of 42 years Louis N. Chapadeau in Pennsylvania. Mr. Chapadeau predeceased her on July 27, 1985.
Mrs. Chapadeau was member of the Little Falls WCA having served as the Treasurer at one time. She was also a member of the Little Falls Lady Elks’, Little Falls Hospital Guild and was an avid bridge player.
For many years Mrs. Chapadeau assisted her husband in the operation of the Yester Year Shop, Little Falls.
She is survived by her son, Joseph L. Chapadeau, Utica, her daughters, Laurie Skandera and her husband John, Mohawk and Lynette Teichman and her husband Charles, Winter Park, CO, six grandchildren, Ryan Fitzsimmons (Kim), Lance Fitzsimmons (Laura), Francine Anderson, Corinne Kessner (John), Jacqueline DelValle (Nick) and Lesley Swift (Brian), eleven great grandchildren, Elodie DelValle, Star Swift, Skyler, Cooper and Lily Anderson, Colin, Gwen, Darcy and Beckett Fitzsimmons, Andrew and Carley Kessner and several nieces nephews. She was predeceased by her son Gary Chapadeau on April 12, 1968 and by her brothers, Louis and Sam Bertuzzi and her sisters, Rose Maney and Julia Aldi.
Funeral services with calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 11:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY 13365. Interment will take place in Church Street Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 10-11 am and to attend the services to follow.
