Obituary of Theresa A Carrig

LITTLE FALLS - Theresa A. Carrig , age 88 died peacefully surrounded by her loving husband and family on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Valley Health Services, Herkimer, NY. Theresa was born on March 20,1930 in Little Falls, NY, a daughter of Anna (Brin) Adamko. She was graduate of Little Falls High School Class of 1948. She was united in marriage to Thomas Carrig on July 9, 1949 at St. Mary’s Church, Little Falls. Theresa and Thomas celebrated 68 loving years together committed to each other; their five children and their families. Theresa especially enjoyed the Anniversary gatherings over the years with family and friends. Their home was always open to friends and family especially at their “Friday Happy Hours” or a game of “Family Feud”. An avid reader she also enjoyed volunteering at the Little Falls Public Library. Theresa was regarded by all who knew her as a kind and caring person. She will be missed. She also greatly enjoyed Thanksgiving gatherings and trips with her family. Theresa retired from Salada in 1995 and enjoyed keeping in touch with her work friends years after retirement. She is survived by her loving husband Tom, her beloved four sons; Blaise Carrig and wife Leslie of Colorado; Ken Carrig and wife Lisa of North Carolina; Thomas Carrig and wife Carol of South Carolina; Toby Carrig of Missouri; and beloved daughter Joan Carrig of New York City. There are 8 wonderful grandchildren, Nathan Carrig, Patrick Carrig, Kaitlin Carrig, Emily Carrig, Morgan Carrig, Avery Carrig, Colin Carrig, Christina Carrig, and one great granddaughter Nia Carrig. A private family graveside service will take place at Church Street Cemetery, Little Falls. We will honor Theresa’s wish of no funeral services and will meet with family and friends at the Elks Lodge # 42, 60 N. Ann St., Little Falls, NY on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 11 am - 1 pm to celebrate Theresa’s life. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Theresa be considered to the Little Falls Public Library, 10 Waverly Place, Little Falls, NY 13365.
