Obituary of James R Palmer

LITTLE FALLS – James R. Palmer, 67 of W. Monroe Street, Little Falls, NY passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Little Falls Hospital after being stricken at home. He was born on May 11, 1951 in Little Falls the son of the late G. Ruport and Marian (Glowatcky) Palmer. He was a graduate of Little Falls High School Class of 1969 as well a graduate of Morrisville and Utica Colleges. He was united in marriage to his wife of 45 years the former Lisa Baum on June 9, 1973 at Sacred Heart Church, Little Falls. Mr. Palmer was employed for over 35 years by the former Burrows Paper Corp., Little Falls in the Environmental and Safety Department retiring in 2008. Following his retirement he began the operation of JR Palmer Associates. Inc., Consulting, Little Falls. An extremely civic minded individual Mr. Palmer served on numerous Boards and Committees for the City of Little Falls as well as many other community groups and organizations. He is survived by his beloved wife Lisa, his sons, Jarrod Palmer and his wife Angela, Johnstown and Aaron Palmer and his wife Joanne, Herkimer, his daughter, Shalon Palmer and her husband Samuel Brown, Little Falls, his grandchildren, Lidia and Ela Palmer, his sister, Susan Koziol and her husband Peter, Little Falls and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Church Street Cemetery, Little Falls Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers it is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mr. Palmer be considered to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, The Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7226. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
