LITTLE FALLS - Mary Louise Pietropaoli, 88 of Church Street, Little Falls passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 with her family by her side at the Alpine Nursing and Rehab. Center, Little Falls where she has been a resident since May of 2018.
She was born on March 3, 1930 in Lawtons, NY the daughter of the late Clarence and Lucille (Schmitt) Kohn. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy, Little Falls Class of 1948.
On October 11, 1952 she was united in marriage to her husband of 54 years Angelo (Gino) Pietropaoli. Mr. Pietropaoli predeceased her on October 28, 2006.
She was a member of the Holy Family Parish Church, Little Falls and it’s Rosarians.
Mrs. Pietropaoli was first employed as a switchboard operator for the NY Telephone Co., Little Falls. Then raised her family and returned to work in the Dietary Dept. of Little Falls Hospital for 18 years retiring in 1993.
She is survived by her son Angelo (Gino) Pietropaoli and his wife Suzanne, Malone, NY and grandchildren Elizabeth, John, Matthew, Thomas and Mary Catherine Pietropaoli, her daughters Lucille Mercer, Phoenix, NY and granddaughter Kate Mercer and her friend Matt Maloney and Ann Marie Kuehnle and her husband William, Little Falls and grandchildren William (Lisa), Amanda and Rebecca Kuehnle, her great grandchildren, Nathan and Arrietta Kuehnle and Brayton Day, her brother, Clarence Kohn and his wife Joan, Little Falls and her sister Magdalen (Maggie) Gressler and her husband Allen, Mohawk She was predeceased by her sisters, Ruth Evans, Agnes Dillon, Evelyn Bucklin and Kathleen Hart and by her son John Pietropaoli on May 2, 2018 and by a granddaughter Mary Anastasia Pietropaoli.
A memorial mass will be held on Monday, August 6, 2018 at 11:00 am from the Holy Family Parish Church, Cor. Main and John St.’s, Little Falls, NY with Mrs. Pietropaoli’s grandson the Rev. John Pietropaoli, celebrating the mass. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Herkimer, NY.
Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. There are no calling hours.
