Obituary of Janet H. Connor

DOLGEVILLE – Janet H. Connor, 84 formerly of Brockett Road, Dolgeville, NY passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019 at the St. Johnsville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, St. Johnsville, NY were she had been a resident for the past several months. She was born on October 9, 1934 in Little Falls the daughter of the late John J. and Myrtle S. (Cotton) Fitzpatrick. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy, Little Falls. On October 4, 1952 she was united in marriage to her husband of 62 years John N. Connor at St. Mary’s Church, Little Falls. Mr. Connor predeceased her on November 5, 2014. She enjoyed knitting and tending to her flower gardens as well as playing Bingo and trips to the casino, spending time with family and friends as long as she was “on the go”. She also was an avid baseball fan of both the NY Yankees and NY Mets. For over 20 years Mrs. Connor was employed in the housekeeping department of Little Falls Hospital. She is survived by her sons, David Connor (Joan), Pine Lake, Thomas Connor, Fernley, NV and Terrence Connor and his wife Cheryl, Johnstown, her daughters, Cheryl Doremus and her husband Roy, Cedarville and Patricia McIntyre, Elbridge, NY, her grandchildren Kenneth, Tabitha (Tim), Rebecca, Ryan (Erin), Danielle (Jason), Amanda (Chad), Cody (Michelle), Gillian, Jerica, Rory (Amanda), Meghan and Emily, many beloved great grandchildren and her nephew Marc Klimek, Little Falls. She was predeceased by her sister Vivian E. Klimek on January 14, 1990 and by her granddaughter Jodi Marie Connor on November 10, 2003. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 11:00 am from the Holy Family Parish Church, Cor. Main & John St.’s, Little Falls where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Terence Healy. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dolgeville. The family will receive family and friends at the Holy Family Parish Church on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 10 am until the time of the Mass at 11 am. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Connor be considered to the St. Johnsville Nursing & Rehab. Center, Rehab. and Activities Fund, 7 Timmerman St., St. Johnsville, NY 13452. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
