Obituary of Elaine F. Davis

ILION - Elaine F. Davis, 74 of W. North Street, Ilion, NY passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Faxton – St. Luke’s Hospital, New Hartford, NY. She was born on August 29, 1945 in Ilion the daughter of the late Harry and Francis (Burney) Andrews. She was a graduate of Mohawk High School Class of 1963. On October 3, 1964 she was united in marriage to her husband of 54 years Richard R. Davis at the Mohawk Reformed Church. At one time she was an active member of the Crowley-Barnum American Legion Post # 25, Ladies Auxiliary, Mohawk and in her spare time enjoyed putting jigsaw puzzles together. Mrs. Davis was employed for several years by the Mohawk Central School District and the former Dufold Corp, Mohawk. She was last employed until her retirement in the accounts receivable department of Wilcor International, Utica. She is survived by her husband Richard, her sons Christopher Davis and his wife Tricia, Matthew, NC, Andrew Davis and his wife Amy, Manlius, NY and Scott Davis and his wife Debbie, Frankfort, NY, her sister Barbara Keeler and her husband Robert, Mohawk, 6 grandchildren, Lindsey Davis, Luke Culver and his wife Jennifer, Paige Culver, Brandon Davis, Austin Davis and Elise Davis and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. There are no calling hours. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Davis be considered to the Herkimer County Humane Society, PO Box 73, Mohawk, NY 13407. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
